Synopsis

Thirteen contemporary short stories written across the years from the aftermath of the coup through the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand, drawing on fragments of real events from that era across a wide range of genres — crime, romance, politics, fable, pandemic, psychology, philosophy, artificial intelligence, and capitalism. The title story reflects on how the fallout from major national events lands on ordinary people, whether or not they had any part in causing them.
